"Bahut duror pora dekhishun Tumak NJV Chaudhapunia, Lakhimpur"

Suddenly, a phone call came from NVS, RO, Shillong on the 6^th of August 2007 While I Was attending a training at New Delhi on "Human Values" that I had to move to JNV Chaudhapunia, Lakhimpur as the situation was grim and some untoward incident had taken place there, in order to control the situation. Immediately, I took a flight to Guwahati.

As I was posted at JNV Chirang (Bongaigaon) reached Bijni (JNV Chirang). Office order had come from Shillong that I had been transferred to JNV Chaudhapunia, Lakhimpur as Principal on public Interest. I decided to join on 10^th August 2007. Gathered information about the prevailing situation at the campus. It was full of turmoil, indiscipline and unrest. Academics was paralysed.

Anyway, joined there and conducted meetings with the students and the teachers separately. Tried to restore normalcy with the Co-operation of society and community. Succeeded in bringing the school back on the track gradually improved the discipline, beautified the campus and brought drastic change in the academic and non-academic activities. Board results improved and the ambience of the campus became serene and beautiful Developed agriculture and Fishery Students were quite loving and good in studies and other non-academic activities like Art, Music, and Sports.

Prior to coming to JNV , I was Professor of English at Sankardev College, Pathalipahar (10kms from Chaudhapunia) and I had associations and acquaintances with people and the place since 1992 and that was an advantage to run the Vidyalaya Smoothly.

It is difficult to forget the students, teachers and the parents of JNV Chaudhapunia, Lakhimpur. I owe a debt of gratitude to all who extended their co-operation at that time, to name some of them Mrs Babita Majudeka (TGT Soc Sc.), students (Ramesh Pegu, Dhananjay Kaman and Nibedita Sharma).

JNV Chaudhapunia, Lakhimpur has completed its journey of 25 years, celebrating its Silver Jubilee, I congratulate to the entire team of alumni and silver jubilee celebration committee for all their sincere efforts and endeavours from the core of my heart and I feel proud to be an integral part of that journey.

I was always well known for not being able to get up early in the morning..i always used to wake up by 9.30 and i hardly attended morning assembly!!! Once I didn't have enough sleep at night and so woke up by 4 in the morning...i thought of jogging that morning. It was a cold winter morning and their was sheer darkness. I clad in my black track suit…with my single engine figure was busy jogging around jnv campus!!! Next moment, some teachers who were regular joggers saw me at a distance and thought and mistook me for a aghori aatma who might have disguised me..as they were sure it was not me for I wouldn't have woke up so early!!Next moment everyone fled and vanished in no tym!!😄

In JNV the Holi celebration is memorable because it is eco friendly and very funny.

It is a matter of immense pleasure for me that JNV Lakhimpur is celebrating silver jubilee. Being a part of this school I feel fortunate that I have been invited to the function. But for some emergency I would be able to attend it. I feel pained and apologize at my inability to attend it.

परमप्रिय बच्चों ,मैं सशरीर तो जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय चौदह पुनिया में उपस्थित नहीं हो रहा किन्तु मानसिक रूप से मैं अपने आप को वहां ही पा रहा हूं। अपने पुराने एवं सबसे अच्छे विद्यालय की स्मृतियों के साथ हूं। शुभ कामना है कि अपना यह Silvar Jubilee समारोह एक स्मृति बनी रहे। मैं उस विद्यालय में जो कुछ कर सका, उससे अधिक के योग्य मैं नहीं था और उससे अधिक मैं किसी भी अपने कार्यस्थल में कर भी नहीं पाया।

Dear Alumnus of JNV Choudahpunia NLP stay always blessed . During my NVS journey of 22 years, my 3 year stay of JNV NLP provide me most memorable students. School Captain Hirok Jyoti is the most memorable student with tremendous leadership qualities. Shankar Jyoti Doley is an ideal student . Binod pegu is a great artist. Shikhawali, Ashima,Nayana, Beauti, Nibedita, Pallavi, Arshini ,Niharika , pinkie all are still in FB friends family. Sangeeta met me at JNV Chandigarh and bring some bihu gift. Really all students of JNV NLP are unique. Whenever you come to J&K or Punjab or Haryana please do visit to me. I wish them all happiness in life. God Bless you all. Stay always happy. I loved JNV Lakhimpur, it was my first joining. I had many lovely memories with my beloved students and by colleagues. We used to share washroom with girl students in the temporary site. We 5 or 6 female teachers were sharing a small room, we have thousands of memory of that small room we used to share.I can never forgot the memories of Lakhimpur It was Like my home and I am proud to be the first regular staff nurse of JNV Lakhimpur.

God bless the children of JNV Lakhimpur, I hope everyone will obtain a successful career and contribute to the nation.

It's a place where I met with best students of my life equipped with enormous potential, where I met with very loving and respectful parents, where I met with wonderful colleagues. Where I also learn a lot from my loving students, respected parents and amazing people of Assam. মই নিজে ইচ্ছা নকৰা ঘটনা বা অভিজ্ঞতা বিষয়ে উল্লেখ কৰিব যোৱা আগতে লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ৰ সমূহ পৰিয়ালবৰ্গক মোৰ শ্ৰদ্ধা আৰু নমস্কাৰ জনাইছোঁ। বিশ্বাসৰ পিঞ্জৰাত জিলিকি থকা লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰলাল নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ত ২০১২ চনত Faculty- cum - System - Administrator হিচাবে যোগদান কৰো ১১ মাহৰ বাবে যিটো মোৰ জীৱনৰ চৰকাৰী কৰ্মৰ প্ৰথম পাতনি । তেতিয়া পৰা আজিলৈকে এই বিদ্যালয় খনৰ শিক্ষা ব্যৱস্থা প্ৰতি আকৃষ্ট হৈছো বাৰুকৈয়ে। সেই বাবে হয়টো নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ৰ শিক্ষাৰ ব্যৱস্থা প্ৰতি আমাৰ ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী সকলক ইয়াৰ শিক্ষাৰ শিক্ষণ প্ৰণালীৰ বিষয়ে বিভিন্ন ধৰণে অভিভাৱক আৰু ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী সকলক অৱগত কৰি আহিছোঁ। এইক্ষেত্ৰত বৰ্তমান কামৰ লগত সম্পৰ্ক আছে বাবে সুবিধা হৈছে। এইয়াও চাগৈ এটি অভিজ্ঞতাৰ বেটুপাত।

মানুহৰ নামৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত কেতিয়াবা আমি বাৰুকৈ অসুবিধা সন্মুখীন হওঁ | পৃথিৱীত এনে কিছুমান ব্যক্তিৰ নাম আছে য'ত আমি নেদেখালৈকে একেষাৰে কব নোৱাৰো যে- নামৰ বিপৰীতে ব্যক্তি জন পুৰুষ নে মহিলা। তেনে এটা সমস্যা হৈছিল ছাগে সেইদিনা, যিদিনা মোৰ নামটো লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ে লাভ কৰিছিল। তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত বিভিন্ন ধৰণৰ আলোচনা বিষয় হৈছিল চাগে মোৰ নামটোক লৈ। সেইদিনা বাছেৰে মই গুৱাহাটী পৰা ঘৰলৈ আহি থাকোতে ফোনটো বাজি উঠিল। ফোনটো receive কৰি গম পালো লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয় । কিন্তু মোক যিকেইটা কথা কলে মই সেইদিনাহে অনুভৱ কৰিলো যে হাজাৰটা ভাল কামৰ ভিতৰত মোৰ মা - দেউতাই শ্ৰেষ্ঠ ভাল কাম এটা কৰিলে | সেইটো হৈছে নিৰ্বাচন কৰা মোৰ নামটো । এই বিষয়ে জনাবলৈ বিছৰা কাৰণটো হৈছে যে- যিজনে মোৰলৈ ফোন কৰিছিল তেখেতে কলে যে- "লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয় পৰা কৈছো। আপোনাৰ ছোৱালীয়ে লখিমপুৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ত চাকৰি পাইছে । কাইলৈ আহি joining কৰিব কব। " মইনো কি বুলি কওঁ? অকল 'হব' বুলি কৈ ফোনটো কাটি জীৱনত নিজৰ নামৰ ওপৰত বিশ্লেষণ কৰি প্ৰথম অভিজ্ঞতাটো মনৰ পিঞ্জৰাত লৈ গাড়ী খিৰিকীৰে চাই গৈ থাকিলো দূৰৈ নীলা পাহাৰখন। যিখনৰ ওচৰলৈ নগলে জনাই নহব চাগে সেউজীয়া গছৰ পাতেৰে আবৰি থকা এইখন নীলা পাহাৰ নহয় । আচলতে মোক নেদেখা লৈকে প্ৰায় সংখ্যকেই ভাবি আছিল মই ছোৱালী বুলি। গতিকে এইটো হৈছে বিদ্যালয় পৰা পোৱা মোৰ নামৰ লগত সাঙোৰ খোৱা প্ৰথমটো অভিজ্ঞতা।

ভাল লগা এটি শব্দ" মৰম " । এই শব্দটোৰ বাবেই বিদ্যালয়ৰ খনত তেতিয়া ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী ওচৰত অভিজ্ঞতা এটা সাঁথৰ হৈ থাকিল আজিলৈকে। মই এই অভিজ্ঞতাটো লবলৈ কোনোদিন বিছৰাও নাছিলোঁ বা ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী সকলে এনে এটা কাম কৰিব বুলি ভবাও নাছিলো। পিছে আজিলৈকে মই এনেকৈয়ে অনুভৱ কৰিলো যে - কোনো এটা মুহূৰ্তত সিহঁতৰ হৃদয়ৰ অনুভূতিত বৰ বেয়াকৈ আঘাত কৰা বাবে হয়টো সিহঁতে বিচাৰি পাইছিল আৰু থিৰাং কৰি ঘোষণা কৰিছিল মোৰ অনুপস্থিত। সিহঁতৰ চিন্তাই যিমান দূৰ গতি কৰি পালে সিমান দূৰতে সিহঁতে মোক সিহঁতৰ হৃদয়ত স্থান দিলে। সেই বছৰ অৰ্থাৎ ২০১২ চনৰ " শিক্ষক দিৱস" (Teachers day) ৰ ঘটনা। সিহঁতে আয়োজন কৰা প্ৰতিটো কাৰ্যসূচীত সকলো শিক্ষকে অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰা দৰে মইয়ো অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰিছিলো যদিও শেষৰ কাৰ্যসূচীত উপস্থিত থাকিব পৰা নাছিলো। পিছত গম পালো শেষৰ কাৰ্যসূচীত সিহঁতে মনৰ বহিঃ প্ৰকাশ কৰি সিহঁতৰ বাবে মৰমৰ এজন শিক্ষক বুলি "Best Teacher Award-2012 " বঁটা প্ৰদান দিবলৈ মঞ্চলৈ নিমন্ত্ৰণ কৰি ঘোষণা কৰিলে। মই সভাত উপস্থিত নাছিলো বাবে সিহঁতৰ সন্মান গ্ৰহণ কৰিব পৰা নাছিলো আৰু পিছত মোৰ কোঠালৈ আহি মোক লগ নোপোৱাত সিহঁতৰ শ্ৰদ্ধাৰ খিনি মোৰ কোঠাৰ টেবুলতে থৈ যায়। অভিজ্ঞতাৰ চানেকিত এইটো আছিল আটাইতকৈ আচৰিত ধৰণৰ কৌতূহল আৰু ভাল লগা অভিজ্ঞতা।

মোৰ নামটোক লৈ থকা ধাৰণা বোৰ আতৰ কৰি ( দিনাটো পাহৰিছো) বিদ্যালয়ত উপস্থিত হৈ যোগদান কৰা দিনটো পৰা বিদ্যালয় খনত বহু ভাল- বেয়া, জটিল-সহজ ঘটনা সৈতে পৰিচয় হবলৈ পায় ভালেই লাগিছিল। এইখিনিতে কব বিছাৰো যে এখন আৱাসীয় বিদ্যালয় এখনত ভাৰতৰ বিভিন্ন ঠাইৰ অভিজ্ঞ শিক্ষকৰ ভৰা আৰু লখিমপুৰ জিলাৰ বিভিন্ন ভিতৰুৱা ঠাইৰ মেধা সম্পন্ন ল'ৰা - ছোৱালী ভৰা বিদ্যালয় এখন পৰিচালনা কৰা বৰ সহজ নহয় । গতিকে সকলোৱে চিন্তাত ইয়াৰ বহুত ভাল ফলাফলতকৈ কিছূ সংখ্যক জটিল আৰু বেয়া গুণবোৰৰ দেখা দিয়াটো স্বাভাৱিক । এইক্ষেত্ৰত লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়েও কৰবাত নহয় কৰবাত উজুটি নোখোৱাকৈ থকা নাই। তথাপিও ইয়াৰ যি শিক্ষা প্ৰণালী অন্য বিদ্যালয়ৰ তুলনাত বহুত ভাল বুলি কব পাৰো। পাঠ্যপুথি শিক্ষা আৰু ক্ৰীড়া শিক্ষাৰে ভৰপূৰ হৈ থকা এটি সুন্দৰ মঞ্চ থকা বিদ্যালয় এখনত পৰিৱেশ সুন্দৰ হবলৈ হ'লে ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী সকলক সকলো শিক্ষক - কৰ্মচাৰীয়ে আৰু পিতৃ মাতৃয়ে সুন্দৰ পৰিৱেশৰ বিষয়ে প্ৰতি মুহূৰ্ততে সজাগ কৰাৰ পৰিকল্পনা কৰিব লাগিব। তেতিয়াহে ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী সকলে সুন্দৰ আৰু মনে বিছৰা এখন ভাল বিদ্যালয় আৱিষ্কাৰ কৰিব পাৰিব। এইক্ষেত্ৰত লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ে কোনো দিনে কৃপণালি কৰা নাই বুলি ভাবো। মাথোঁ অভিভাৱকসকলে মন কৰিব, যদিহে ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী সকলক গছৰ এটি বীজৰ লগত তুলনা কৰিলে জানিম যে- যি ধৰণৰ বীজ বিদ্যালয় এখনত অৰ্পণ কৰো তেনে বীজৰ পৰাই বিদ্যালয় খনে ফল সৃষ্টি কৰে। যেনে মিঠা আমৰ বীজে মিঠা ফল দিয়ে আৰু টেঙা আমৰ বীজে টেঙা আমৰ ফল দিয়ে। মাত্ৰ আমি টেঙা আমৰ পৰা মিঠা আমলৈ ৰূপান্ত কেনেকৈ কৰিব পাৰি তাৰ বাবে লাগিব কিছুমান পৰিকল্পনা আৰু সেইটো সম্ভৱ শিক্ষাগুৰু আৰু অভিভাৱকৰ মিলনৰ জৰিয়তে। লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয়ে এই বিষয়ে সুন্দৰ ব্যৱস্থা কৰা দেখা পোৱা যায়। ইয়াতেই এটা বিষয়ে উল্লেখ কৰিব লাগিব যে কিছুমান অভিভাৱকৰ মনৰ ভাৱ জানিবলে বিদ্যালয় খনৰ অধ্যক্ষ লগতে শিক্ষাগুৰু সকলে অসমীয়া ভাষাৰ কথোপকথন অলপ হলেও জনাৰ প্ৰয়োজন থাকিব।

শেষত লখিমপুৰ জৱাহৰ নৱোদয় বিদ্যালয় খনৰ প্ৰতি মোৰ যোৱা ২৫ বছৰ পৰাই মৰম আৰু ভাল পোৱা আছে আৰু থাকিব। বিদ্যালয় খনে নতুন কৌশলেৰে শিক্ষণ প্ৰণালীৰে দেশৰ ভৱিষ্যতৰ ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী বোৰক সমাজ গঢ়া পথ আৱিষ্কাৰ কৰাই সমাজলে গৌৰৱ কঢ়িয়াই আনিব বুলি বিশ্বাস কৰিলোঁ।

Try to maintain the smooth relationship among the navodayan for the betterment and interest of humanity.

This was 2017 when I visited North East with so many orthodoxical and contaminated thoughts as I was told by others about this beautiful, well cultured, sociable, laddened with the thinking of assimilation. When I reached there, I was dumbstruck to see that staff were talking to me in Hindi. And after joining the Vidyalaya, I was asked to visit the class; and this was class 10th and 8th that made me comfortable because the batches ware brimmed with brilliance, cooperation and eagerness. I enjoyed those batches a lot. The staff belonged to the different parts of the country, so it was really very good to see the diversity of this vast country. In a nutshell, it was full of challenges but the bliss was raining cats and dogs. Assamese was Greek to me, but I learnt it, enjoyed it and now whenever I get chance to write or talk, I try my hand in Assamese. Very lovely place, very lovely students, very lovely staff. Proud to be Navodayan.......

First of all it is a matter of big applause that our prestigious vidyalaya is commemorating Silver Jubliee and that is because of the constant efforts of You all dear students. As a teacher I always wish you a bright future that is far ahead. Shine with your utmost brilliance and make the world as happy as we dream. Best of Luck to you all.

The opportunity to have had served in Jnv Lakhimpur was indeed a blessing in disguised for me as it was one such school where I had got one of the best moment and good positive experienced with all the students, teachers, non teaching staff.

On this beautiful auspicious day, I humbly conveyed every respected members who had been an integral part and had associate themselves with the long journey of the school. I pray that JNV Lakhimpur will carry on the legacy ahead and continue to climb the ladder of success in the coming years

The school supported me a lot and I would like to give the credit to the management and the faculty for all the teaching and learning. I heartily thank all the teachers for their faith and co-operation.

My experience with NLP was very very good. I learnt a lot and enjoyed every single moment. All staff was very polite and cooperative. Actually I got my first posting in JNV Lakhimpur, first time I saw a JNV, it's environment. I am emotionally attached, after all It was my first job.

All of you are very hard working and humble.

Vidyalaya where I spend the longest duration till now. Hospitality of the locality will be remembered. Place from where I learnt to speak Assamese. Place were my children enjoy in their childhood. Helpful and discipline students.

I am immensely grateful for the time I spent at the campus, where I had the privilege to interact with the children from every nook and corner of the Lakhimpur district. The serene natural environment provided a unique backdrop for learning and understanding. There is an emotional attachment to people of Lakhimpur as I got the opportunity to explore the village life during JNVST. Together, we navigated the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, sharing moments that I will forever cherish.

Congratulations to the JNV family on reaching the silver jubilee milestone! As we celebrate this achievement, I humbly appeal to the present students to maximize the invaluable facilities and opportunities offered by the institution for their academic and personal growth.

It is my sheer pleasure to be a part of the school which has excelled in providing such talented youth to the nation. From the very beginning, this school has attained distinctions in academics, sports and even extra-curricular activities. I remember the day when the students of class X and XII brought excellent result. Such big and small achievements have always contributed to the development of this JNV. This would not have been possible without the efforts of our truly dedicated and committed students and faculty members.
